The Dress

A stunning, comfortable and effortlessly worn gown. A dream to wear and photographs beautifully.

I got married in the summer and wanted a lightweight dress that was easy to move in, super pretty and a little bit sexy and the Stevie dress from the Australian designer Made with Love hits all of these notes and more. This dress truly strikes that balance between traditional and easy-to wear elegance making the transition from a grand town hall where our reception was held to a countryside pub effortless, as I hope the photos convey.

The skirt has an ivory underlay. It would be easy for a lining to be added to the top should you wish. I was sceptical at first, but the lace is so well positioned and designed on the front that I decided to leave out this option! A bustle was added along with a wrist strap to make dancing easy. Shoulder to waist measurement is 37cm and the waist to floor is 113cm.

Fit: My height without shoes is 161cm and I wore 2.5inch heels. Dress fitted to be not tight around the tummy and hips but still hug the shape of the hips nicely so there is plenty of room to move.
