The Dress

PLEASE NOTE: this dress is label size 7 (I was a street size 8).

I bought this stunning dress in early 2020, however, when it arrived at the boutique, it was too small for me. I had it altered to fit perfectly (let out a little, straps shortened, front hem taken up, French bustle put in, boning inserted, and bra cups inserted) but unfortunately due to, ah I don't know, a pandemic or something, my wedding was cancelled, and the dress no longer fits me.

My measurements at the final fitting are listed above, so if your measurements are the same or smaller, you'll either fit the dress perfectly or be able to have it taken in. The waist to hem length is 107.5cm. My height is 167cm, and I had planned a 5cm heel.

Of course, it's never been worn beyond the final fitting, so it hasn't been dry-cleaned. Most of the photos above are from the Prea James website, as the boutique had a no-photos policy so I didn't take any during the fittings. Unfortunately the train is crinkled from having it in my cupboard, I apologise! I'm happy to supply further photos on request, and can also supply the invoice with the list of alterations.

In our classic matte silk with heavy silk satin lining, this modern and fashion forward silhouette features a slight scoop bodice with a bias cut cowl drape over the bust. The wider straps are ultra modern and comfortable.

While the Mira gown features a cowl neck design, it also has a waist seam, which gives a more flattering shape for different body sizes.

The skirt has a side split and added flare at the hem that gives beautiful movement.

The back is slightly lowered and so quite open, but high enough there is some support.
