The Dress

Timeless and classic Leah Da Gloria Wedding Dress. Part of the BOHEME 2020 collection, made and worn in March 2021, the Odette Gown, Delaney (detachable) overskirt and Gigi wrap (worn as a detachable bow) are true masterpieces.

The dress has been meticulously dry cleaned and is in almost pristine condition, as it was on the day I collected it from Leah.

I ordered a standard size 10 in the Odette Gown and Delaney overskirt but added extra length as I am tall (172cm without heels). I wore 10.5cm on my Wedding Day and was approx. 182cm tall with the shoes in the Dress. I would say the perfect fit would be for a gorgeous bride who is an Australian 8-10 in sizing. There is room for alterations on the waist and/or hips. The waist can also be taken out, and the cups in the bust removed. The length of the Odette Gown and Delaney overskirt can easily be altered. The dress does up via a zipper and a hook-and-eye. This is easy to use. The Delaney overskirt can be taken on/off via small hooks that are hidden within the lace.

The Gigi Wrap was stitiched into a bow, and is taken on/off the Odette Gown via invisible hooks. It was still very secure and added an incredidbly beautfiul feature to the dress. All my guests commented that it was the hero of the dress. The Odette Gown can be worn with or without the bow.

This absolutely gorgeous Gown was customised for me, and Leah's seamstress had stitiched gorgeous French lace onto the Odette Gown, Delaney Overskirt and Gigi wrap (tied and stitched into a bow).
The Gown was very comfortable to wear all day and night!! The detachable skirt does weigh a few kilograms and after a few hours, it was nice to take it off.

The Odette Gown has a clear button so that the back of the dress can be hooked up for ease of movement when walking around and/or dancing. It has has a wrist hook if that is preferred. I note, that the delaney overskirt has a wrist hook too.

Alterations

The alterations to the Odette Gown include added cups in the bust, taken in around the waist, and alteration to the length. This is reflected in the measurements listed. There were no alterations on the hips. Addtionally, extra netting was added to the overskirt to add some more volume.
