The Dress

Custom made wedding dress by Geelong Dressmaker Claire Home Designs worn once on my wedding day in February 2021. Wearing this dress felt effortless and I had so many guests comment on just how comfortable and happy I looked in my dress.

I wanted the dress to feel modern and classic at the same time as well as have it allow me to be comfortable and enjoy all aspects of our wedding day (standing, sitting, walking through paddocks, dancing etc).

The dress is made of pure silk satin in a lustrous bright white fabric that fits against the body and holds its shape in the most flattering way. The dress has a slim A-line silhouette, a structured low cut bodice with underarm cut outs and "party at the back" deconstructed bow/ruffle which could be easy detached if you prefer.

The design of the dress was inspired by current trends including the Mariana Hardwick 'Chiara'; Karen Willis Holmes 'Taryn/Camille'; Oscar de la Renta 'Landon' and Monique lhuillier designs.

I am a B cup and did not wear a bra or have cups sown in, these could be added if you preferred. I am 172cm tall and wore 6cm heels on the day.

The dress has been professionally dry cleaned and has only some minor fabric pulls.

Alterations

Dress custom made to fit me. Bodice, skirt and hem could all be altered if required. Cups could be added. The train at the back could also be altered and ruffle detached for a more minimal look.
