The Dress

Rachel Gilbert Seraphina gown is covered entirely of pearled sequins/beading, fitted with a silk underlay and features capped sleeves. This stunning dress captures a classic feminine shape, flattering the waist and is a super comfortable fit! I purchased the dress second hand and unaltered with tags from Still White in 2019, never worn by previous owner.

I paid for tasteful and minor alterations to be made in 2021, enhancing the design (see details below). I loved this dress and was particularly torn about wearing it to my reception, as a comfortable alternative to dance in. I decided against wearing it on the night due to time limitations, and therefore it remains never worn beyond being fitted for alterations! It is a truly beautiful design, made even more unique by tasteful low “V” at the back and a "gathered" side split (which can be easily reversed). Standard Rachel Gilbert Size 1 which equates to a street size 8, "gathering" at side split was made to be worn with my 7.5cm heels.

Has not been professionally dry cleaned, as the dress was not formally worn.

Alterations

- Lengthened “V” at the back to waistline.
- Added "gathering" at the beginning of leg split in order to reduce length for my height without altering the hemline. "Gathering" can be easily reversed in order to return to original unaltered design (see image 1), length defined by standard Rachel Gilbert size chart.
