The Dress

The Millie Skirt is an absolute show-stopper and the best of both worlds. I could have my traditional “Bride” moment with the full tulle skirt, and at the same time embrace a more modern bridal look with the pleated, asymmetrical layers of the skirt. The tulle is lightweight and I was able to effortlessly walk in the skirt that has a small train and voluminous layers. The skirt is a size AUS 6 (size 2 on Kyha website) and the waist was not altered (taken in or out) the skirt features a centre zip back with hook and eye clasp. The only alteration was to take up the skirt at the front so I could walk. I am 167cm and my shoes were 10cm high. I wore the skirt with an Aleena Lena silk ivory dress underneath to the ceremony and for the portraits and then took the skirt off before I entered the reception. You could pair the skirt with a top, but I really liked being able to wear a dress underneath as a second look and all of the guests including my Husband thought the dress that I wore underneath and the skirt was one complete dress, so it was fun to surprise everyone. The skirt has been dry-cleaned and is in perfect condition.
