The Dress

BRAND NEW, never worn, Pronovias Alcyone gown! This dress really hugs you in ALL the right places, is incredibly flattering in the stomach area (because it is double-lined) and is probably THE most comfortable dress I've ever tried on.

After visiting dozens of bridal salons and trying on hundreds of dresses this was my DREAM dress! Unfortunately we decided to cancel our big wedding due to COVID, but I really hope another bride gets the chance to feel as special as I did in this dress on her big day.

The Alcyone makes a fine entrance of elegance, finished off with a beautiful beaded trip around the neckline. *Update, please note: Upon picking up the dress from the bridal salon’s storage, I noticed that one the appliqués on the left side (lower left hip/thigh area) has developed a slight yellowing to it. I called the bridal salon and they said it can be cleaned/fixed for approx. $100-200. Otherwise the dress is in PERFECT condition.

Measurements:
Bridal Size 10 (I'm normally a 4-6 dress size in everyday clothes)
Bust: 36 inches
Waist: 29 inches
Hips: 41 inches
Height: 5'6'' (5'8" with shoes)

When the dress arrived, it fit me like a glove and almost no alterations were needed! It was hemmed to my height with a small heel, an American bustle was added, and it was taken in slightly around the hips. $470 worth of alterations done, including bustle.
