The Dress

I am selling my Jenny Packham Esme dress (retail $6,990) and belt / sash(retail $490) from Jenny Packham’s 2013 collection worn at my wedding in mid October 2014. It was ordered new direct from Jenny Packham in the UK via Helen Rodriguez in Sydney.

It is an ivory net gown with 2 layers underneath, with silver & crystal beading all over and a slit back. The belt is platinum/silvery grey with crystal beading, designed by Jenny Packham to go specifically with the Esme dress.

The dress is a UK size 12: bust 93cm, waist 74cm, hips 97cm. I am an Aust 10 or 12 (depending on brand/fit), and I am confident it would fit either Aust 10 or 12. The belt is adjustable with two fastening points.

It was taken up at the front hem approx 4 /5cm. The train from the sides and around the back was not altered. The shoulder straps underneath the netting were not altered. There was no alteration to the fit or the top net layer (apart from the front hem). All alterations were done by Helen Rodriguez’s seamstress.

It is in excellent condition, mainly because I wore a short ‘party’ dress later on at my reception so I could really enjoy myself! I was able to dance without worrying about damaging my beautiful dress. There are no makeup marks, sweat, food/drink stains and no rips. There was very minor dirt on the train where it touched the ground but I have had the dress professionally cleaned – receipt attached ($400)

I always knew I wanted to wear a Packham dress – I love her range and I had fallen in love with the ‘Esme’ a long time ago – a timeless, elegant dress. Trying it on, clarified that. The quality, elegant style and exquisite beading are simply stunning. I have never worn anything so beautiful in my life and I’m sure I never will again. I absolutely loved wearing it on my wedding day. I felt and looked exactly how I had dreamt that I would look and feel. I am so happy to have my wedding photos to look back on and remember my wedding day and wearing this beautiful dress and how special I felt. I have decided to offer my dress for sale in case there is another bride out there who would like to wear it on their special day. The Esme is a hard dress to find (previously worn) - I know I searched for one on Still White alongside other sites and would have been happy to have bought a previously worn one. These dresses are exceptionally expensive and I know if I had seen one in my size at the time of my wedding, I would have loved the opportunity to have been able to buy a pre owned one.
