The Dress

This is my daughter’s dress and she has moved to live abroad so she’d like someone else to have the wonderful opportunity of wearing this beautiful creation. She used to live in Altrincham and would pass the Suzanne Neville shop, dreaming of wearing one of this designer’s fabulous dresses. As with a lot of people, her wedding was reduced in numbers due to covid but she was fortunate to have the dress of her dreams. It is the designer’s size 14 but is actually about an 11 and my daughter is usually a size 10- it has an adjustable corset panel inside the bodice. There is a Suzanne Neville ribbon attached at the waistline and it has covered buttons from the base of the V to the waist at back. The skirt is very full with net underneath and it has a substantial train. There is a loop underneath to hold when walking to keep train off floor and also a device to draw the train up for dancing. Louisa loved wearing this dress, it was comfortable and she felt like a princess.

Alterations

The standard length of shoulder to waist of a 14 is 16.25” but it has been altered to 15.25”.
She is 5’ 6.5” tall and she wore 4” heels- length from waist to hem at front is 46.5”
