The Dress

A mermaid design, fitted at the waist, with the skirt and train in crepe and tulle, along with lace and guipure for a sensual and sophisticated bodice and illusion neckline, both at the front and back. The full length train adds elegance, and can also be easily secured into a bustle for ease of movement if desired. The dress was originally UK size 10 and alterations were made to the bodice and hips to make it UK size 8. No alterations have been made to the length. The dress is unworn. The dress was originally bought as a brand new shop sample and has been customised to remove the mesh along the neckline so that the top is more seamless. Elastic has been sewn into the sleeves with invisible thread to make them freestanding on the arms. I have brand new mesh sent by the designer in Barcelona which will come with the dress and the mesh can be easily put back onto the dress by your seamstress if you wish. I found that I could see the mesh in photos and wanted it to be totally bardot style off the shoulder and not visible. There are a couple of very small hitches to the skirt and a few very minor dirt marks on the dress from where it was a bridal shop sample and has been tried on multiple times for fittings etc however I bought it as this as was not worried as it’s easily removable with a dry cleaning pen and I was going to get it steamed/freshened up before the wedding anyway. I absolutely love this dress and am gutted it’s not the one anymore but with our plans changing due to covid it just doesn’t fit in with our new wedding style.
