The Dress

Stunning Zanzis couture gown, Custom made in Subiaco.
In my mind, when I worked with Jennifer to design this gown, I pictured an ethereal dress, which would suit beautifully in our forest wedding. I was in awe of how stunning this dress was, and how special it felt that so much time and thought had been devoted to it. I chose to use chantilly lace in the bodice, and add a little beading and sparkle, though not too much. I wanted the dress to be natural, but breathtaking.
It has a v-neckline, with a firm bodice and built in bra. The back of the bodice angles into a slight v towards the button up back. The shoulder straps are made of tulle and secured with lace which runs from the bodice up the strap slightly. It is a stunning detail and can be see in the pictures. I was in love with this addition as it perfectly blended the structure of the bodice with the delicate tulle straps. The bodice went to my hips, to a very forgiving length and sat over several layers of silk/tulle. The bottom of the is made up of a nude lining (which give the dress a stunning gold glow to it), then separate strips of tulle in three different tones; blush, ivory and ivory with sparkle. The strips of material made this dress float, and it was extremely light and cool. the combination of tones makes the skirt so stunning and unique. All day people were asking to look at the detail in the dress, and wondering what it was that made it glow. It was as magical as I had hoped.

The dress was a dream to wear. I was concerned as I had heard that many people get to the end of their day and can't wait to get their dress off. I was actually so comfortable and could have kept dancing into the wee hours of the morning! I am a size 10-12. The dress was beyond comfortable!

The dress was worn on November 1, 2014 and was professionally drycleaned within a few months. The dress comes with its original receipt and was custom made for $6800.00

I would really love to see this dress worn again, it is simply to beautiful to sit in my wardrobe for years.
