The Dress

This dress is absolutely stunning with multiple layers of emboidered lace and tulle that flow into a beautiful train. The under layer of mocha coloured fabric really makes the designs of the lace pop! The shape of the dress is very flattering with fitting bodice, off shoulder "sleeves" and flowing A-line skirt. It has a manageable train that's not too long but long enough to catch the eye of your guests when you are walking down the aisle. The boned bodice is sheer from the back and even though it currently rises to mid-back, it could possibly be altered to low-back.

I bought it in early 2020 to be worn in our planned Tuscan wedding this year (Madi Lane's official website describes this dress as "what Tuscan dreams are made of"), but due to lockdown/C-19 restrictions we ended up eloping in Australia in July 2021. We had a small wedding here and the dress was only worn in the ceremony, approximately 2.5 hours altogether. The ceremony was held outside as you can see from the photos, but the dress was dry-cleaned straight afterwards. Since then it has lived in the cotton bag from Luv Bridal which I got when I bought the dress.

No alterations have been made to the dress. I am normally a size AUS10 but this dress fit me like a glove as size AUS8. I loved the off-shoulder look and the silhouette of fitting bodice and flowing skirt. It would have been very comfortable to wear all day, eat and drink well and dance through the night, which is why I chose this dress! There is a small tear on the inside of the corset/bodice on left side, which you can see in the last photo, where one of the bones is coming out of the seam. This will be an easy fix however. Otherwise the dress is in perfect condition and as mentioned before, it was only worn for a couple of hours.
