The Dress

This dress slaps.

This is the dress if you want to be absolutely drowning in tulle. The way the tulle floats and gathers gives it a dreamy, ethereal look. Its asymmetric lace applique skirt is unique and beautiful without being too out there. The plunging neckline and revealing back adds a bit of sultriness without being too sexy. It was surprisingly comfortable and easy to walk around in once (esp. once bustled). The straps are sturdy and allow for full arm movement. With the big skirt, it is quite flattering to pear shapes.

I wanted the look of dense appliques, but wasn't finding it in my price range. Just before I was going to start looking at more expensive dresses, I found this beauty. The asymmetric skirt allows for a look of dense appliques without actually filling out the entire dress. You won't find a look quite like it for this price.

It has been through a woodland wedding, so the tulle on the bottom has a few tears. The bottom has so many layers it'll be tough to see. I've gotten it dry cleaned so the bottom is not dirty. The final photo is the dress after the wedding and dry cleaning, hanging from my door.

Alterations

I'm a 32C and got the bodice pulled in to fit. If you are well endowed, you may want to skip this dress.

The length and waist are not modified. I am 5'8" and wore flats and the length was perfect.

Bustled. Complicated, 3 layers, buttons and hooks. You'll want to go into a seamstress with your bridesmaids and learn how to work it. The bustle is an absolute must for post-ceremony as the dress is quite long. With the bustle, I was able to dance in the dress and it looked gorgeous spinning (See photo).
