The Dress
This gorgeous dress was such a dream to wear on my wedding day and I hope it can make another bride feel as beautiful, happy and relaxed as I did!
I’m reducing the price as I need to sell this dress quickly! Baby on the way and we need to make space in our spare room so I’m open to reasonable offers :)
The dress is extremely light and comfortable to wear as it’s only fitted through the bodice to the waist. I am a pear-shaped U.K. 10/12 in high street clothes but tended to wear size 10 when wedding dress shopping and purchased this dress in a size 10 which needed hardly any alterations.
The open back and sweep train are truly stunning and the ruffle detail makes the dress unique and unfussy in a sea of lace and embroidered dresses. The fabric of this dress (layers of silk chiffon)flows and moves beautifully. If you would like any more photos please get in touch.
The dress comes with the gorgeous Art Deco style Jenny Packham belt included (as seen in the runway photo) as well as a custom made, fully-beaded pearl belt which I purchased from Etsy for £120 and is what I wore on the day.
The dress has been professionally dry cleaned but there are a few tiny spots that didn’t come out on the back of the dress and two small rips that need to be repaired. Due to the flowy nature of the fabric these are only visible upon close inspection, but I have adjusted the price to reflect these. If you would like to see photos of these small imperfections, I’m happy to send them. I have been assured that they could be repaired by a specialist but I felt it would be best for the next bride to select who they’d like to do these repairs.
If you have any questions please get in touch!
Alterations
I had the straps raised slightly, cups and a stitch added to the neckline for modesty but all this could be easily reversed by your seamstress. The only permanent alteration I made was to the length which was adjusted in the front to hit the floor in 7 cm heels (I am 175cms). A sweep train was left at the back and a three point bustle added with three hooks and tiny loops at the waist.
