The Dress

This is a custom made, bespoke dress. It is altered from a vintage dress and is therefore an original design. All of the detail of the top part of the dress is from the original vintage dress, while the skirt and rest of the top is made from new, colour-matched silk-linen (purchased from Tessuti Fabrics, Melbourne). The handwork on the bodice part of the dress is incredibly fine and in excellent condition. Having said that, please note that there are imperfections, due to it being handworked and also vintage.
The dress is ivory in colour and fully lined. It has a centre front seam and an invisible zip and button fastening at the back. It has a small, subtle train with a button loop for hooking it up when dancing.
Being made to measure, it is difficult to put an exact size on this dress. PLEASE REFER TO THE DRESS MEASUREMENTS PROVIDED. Please note, these are approximate measurements of the dress (NOT MYSELF). Bust, waist and hip measurements were taken of the dress laying flat (then doubled), while the length was taken while hanging. Length is from shoulder to front hem.
I can supply the details of the dress maker if desired, given her familiarity in working with the dress, in case you wish to have alterations, or keep the original vintage parts of the dress and have the skirt re-designed as I did (not that it needs this! It's beautiful as it is in my opinion!) Please note the dress had a couple of very small marks on the centre back of the dress. See final image. There are also some markings and signs of wear at the hem.
