The Dress

Leafy lace cascades down over a crème skirt lining to look and feel amazing in this floor length A-Line Ballgown. The bodice and straps carry the leafy nature theme, and end with a cute keyhole back. The official designer listing for this dress describes it as "Boho meets luxe".

I loved the heavy nature theme of this gown with it's simple lines and straightforward style. I had the beautiful long train for the ceremony and pictures, yet could manage the dress on my own easily and was comfortable in it dancing all night through the reception. The way it bustles also created a shape I liked, and I loved that the leafy train was not lost in the bustle.

Dress has been cleaned and preserved in a preservation kit. Can also include the light-gold fingertip veil pictured if you'd like it, and the dress bag the dress came in for safe storing and transportation.

Alterations

All 6 layers were hemmed to fit me (5'6") wearing 2" heels. In addition, straps were shorted and sides taken in a bit to fit my height (5'6") and weight (140lbs). I listed my street size above as a 6, but depending on the dress I've been known to wear anything from a 4-8. I'm also usually a C cup, although cups in this dress were a B and not altered at all.

A 2-point bustle was added that keeps the dress looking and feeling great well into the evening. It is a tiny bit long in the back when bustled so perhaps 3" heels would have been better, but the extra length was not noticeable to me at all, even when wearing flats on the dance floor.
