The Dress

Rue de Seine description: East is cut into a halter silhouette, which frames and flatters your shoulders beautifully. The bold detailed twist lace has sinuous curves that envelop the body at flattering angles and hug the figure beautifully. Drama is emphasized with a sienna lining and directional change of the lace. Full circle skirt flares out from low hip, which uses plush tassels to highlight the full skirt.
East is part of the Rue Classics collection and is still available for sale, new is $3,450.

This was my dream dress. I tried on the East in a salon and was measured by a Rue stylist. The size 8 fit me great and I was close to buying it but decided to try and find a preowned one. I was so happy to find one on Stillwhite and bought this dress from the original owner who bought it in 2020. I am so happy I bought it; it was incredibly beautiful, comfortable, and fit the vibe of my wedding perfectly. It is light and non-fussy to wear but also incredibly distinctive and unique at the same time. Literally everyone complemented me on it.

I bought it from another girl who bought it new and sold it on Stillwhite. She had it altered minimally and it was in mint condition when I received it. I dragged my feet about posting it because I love it so much but I had a great experience buying on Stillwhite and wanted someone else to have the chance to wear this amazing dress. It comes with the arm tassels which are unworn and original tag. I am happy to include a new Untamed Petals Rosie hair vine (retail $400).

Alterations

The previous owner shortened the back straps a little bit and shortened the length slightly. I wear a US street size 6 in almost everything and the dress fit me great without alterations. I am 5' 7" without shoes and with 2.5 in heels the length was perfect. The only things I changed were adding a 5 point french bustle (which doesn't interfere with the back tassels), and I opened up the neckline slightly (the neck being too tight is a common complaint of this dress). I have spot cleaned it and it is still in perfect condition, but it has not been dry cleaned. I am selling it at a steep discount because I am the second owner, but the dress is still in fantastic shape.
