The Dress
This truly beautiful dress was my absolute dream dress and I can no longer let it sit in my wardrobe unworn! Made in 2020, worn once for my April 2021 wedding, cleaned and stored in the original garment bag.
It's a super elegant and modern creation by NZ designer Katie Yeung (Hera Couture), purchased at Hera Couture in Auckland.
The bodice features sheer illusion mesh, intricate hand-beading and gorgeous lace. It has supportive in-built cups which means no bra is needed. The skirt is made from a layer of beautiful Italian embroidered lace, lined with tulle (in a subtle 'tea rose' colour) and stretch jersey. There is more lace edging the hemline and a glamorous sweep train. It is super comfortable to wear and is in good-as-new condition.
I am 166 cm tall and wore 5.5cm heels.
Alterations
Purchased a standard Size 8 and had the hem taken up, the straps shortened slightly, the bodice taken in a little and a bustle added. Would fit a Size 6-8.
