The Dress

This dress is Suzanne Neville's Amerie dress from the 2020 Flores collection. Amerie is perfect in its simplicity - the expertly fitted bodice sits below an elegant, slightly off the shoulder portrait neckline, finished with a romantic billowing skirt.

I bought it from Ellie Sanderson Boutique for my wedding in July 2021 - it was the first dress I tried on and instantly loved it. I I am 5 foot 10 and a size 12/14. The bodice has an internal corset, which means it stays in place perfectly and I felt so comfortable throughout the day not having to worry about it slipping. This also gives a really flattering shape. It has a beautiful V-shaped back with delicate buttons (I have a spare button which I will provide with the dress) and a full skirt but with lots of movement, making it perfect for dancing in. It has been professionally dry-cleaned by bridal experts Terrington Burchett and is in great condition. There are some marks on the bottom of the dress from walking around and two tears at the bottom from my heels (pictures attached). However, as I am very tall (5ft 11) anyone shorter can have the dress taken up which would eradicate the marks and the tears. I also have spare material for a veil too which I didn't use. I also had a button sewn in so you can bring the train up off the floor for dancing.

I decided to customise the look of my dress by wearing a belt on the day too. It is not sewn onto the dress and does not come with it but it does appear in some of the photos and is why there is ribbon and a bow when looking at the dress from the back.

I had it professionally done so it is in a discreet way as I didn't like any of the normal bustles you can have with a wedding dress.

I loved the dress. Because it has a corset, I was not worried about eating too much as I knew I would be held in place. It is truly a beautiful dress.
