The Dress

*FRESHLY DRY-CLEANED!*

This Monique Lhuillier wedding dress was my dream dress come to life. It was purchased directly from the Monique Lhuillier boutique on Melrose Place in Los Angeles.

It's simple, elegant, and jaw dropping.

I received compliments all day. It's the most flattering dress I have ever worn. And it has pockets.

I do not want to sell it, but we live right in the heart of Los Angeles and space is a premium.

I paid $5,738 total for the dress (dress price $3,970, rush fee $595.50, and 9.25% CA tax = $4,987.80) and alterations ($850) and dry cleaning [$240], total: $6.077.80. You could easily resell this dress to another bride in the $3k range after your wedding and make all your money back and essentially get a free wedding dress.

The dress was worn for less than 9 hours total and has been freshly dry-cleaned by my amazing local cleaners.

Alterations: The dress was reboned to make the bust more supported for a larger bust.

The waist is very fitted, a standard women's 12, I'd say.

The bust fit my 38D bust well, it could have been more snug.

I also had a bustle added. I will explain the bustle to the buyer.

The alterations were all done by the head tailor at Saks (19 years as the head tailor in Saks bridal), who took me on as a private client.

I am 5'6" and wore 3" heels for the ceremony, then changed into flats.

The length is the original standard length that ML does for their gowns, the length was not altered at all.

The length of the dress was perfect with heels on, I could have even gone another .5-1" up.

All sales are final and I would be more than happy to confirm all measurements for the buyer prior to shipping.
