The Dress

Mikado ballgown with full box pleats, deep V neckline and back with trailing embroidered lace embellished detail. Vision panel sides & small train.

The designer's size is UK6 but I am usually a NZ8-NZ10.

This was my wedding dress and it made me feel so beautiful and just like a princess!

The Mikado fabric holds its shape well without needing a petticoat (which you can use for a fuller look - I didn't use one) and has just the right amount of sheen. Underneath the dress is only the lining so there isn't lots of layers which makes alterations easier.

This dress has been professionally cleaned & boxed with acid free paper. I am open to keeping it or selling depending if anyone was keen to buy.

Alterations

The alterations done:
- taken up shoulders a little so it sat nicely
- shorten Hem (I am 5 ft 0.5in and wore 4 inch heels = 5 ft 4.5in or 164cm total)
- added bustle
- Shorten train to match proportion of shortened hem

No changes to waist or details/beading.
