The Dress

This wedding dress was originally ordered for a March wedding which was postponed until November but the style still worked perfectly for the change of season. It has been professionally dry cleaned at a cost of €160 and is in excellent condition. I may regret selling it in the future but it is also too nice to go to waste in storage!

The dress was ordered in a size 14 but is more suited to a size 12, bride was 5'2 and wore 3 inch heels. The material is predominately lace with some discrete beading, there are 4 layers to the dress - slip, tulle, lace x 2. However, the dress is surprisingly light so it's easy to move, dance and sit down in. Bustle in place under skirt to tie up train for the evening. Mermaid style skirt but not restrictive.

Alterations of €250 not included in the retail price of €2,450. Bridal shop where the dress was purchased has confirmed that it is no longer in production.

Alterations

The length of the dress was altered while retaining the train detailing, the straps were shortened and the bust area was taken in. Mesh was used to raise the plunge neckline (should be easily removed if required).
