The Dress

This is a mikado fabric full length, Allure wedding dress.
The dress is from the designers private collection so you won’t find it on the Allure website.
I was married in October 2021 and the RRP of this dress is £1700.

It has a Bardot style sleeve, which sits very comfortably on the shoulders.
The bodice is a close structured fit, with enough support to not need a bra.

As you can see in the photos it had a beautiful jewelled belt which is a fitted belt to the dress and not detachable.
The box pleats, which start from underneath the belt help to create a lovely silhouette and full skirt.

The dress also hides two subtle hip pockets.

The fabric is mikado and it is not a heavy dress.
I am 5’ 11” tall and ordered the longer length dress and had it shortened slightly.
It has a lovely train to the dress and also a hand hoop, to hold it up in the evening or when dancing.

The dress is fastened by a zip and there are mikado fabric covered buttons which stay in place by elasticated loops, which cover the zip. The buttons run all the way down the dress to the bottom of the train.

The dress is in immaculate condition.
I had no drinks spilled on me. There is no mud or dirt on the underneath of the dress or train.
I have had the dress dry cleaned and even have a photo of it hanging in the dry cleaners window!

Alterations

The dress has been shortened slightly.
The shoulder straps were tweaked for a better fit.
The bodice was let out by approx half an inch.
