The Dress

I purchased this dress second-hand from a sustainably focused Bridal boutique (the Bare Faced Bride) for my wedding in April 2021, so the dress has now been worn twice.

It was such a beautiful dress to wear, I loved the structure of it and its simple modern elegance. It was extremely comfortable and was versatile in how it could be worn, I had the one shoulder both up and hanging loosely below my shoulder depending on the moment. The pockets were everything, useful for holding tissues and wedding vowels, but also for hiding anxious fidgety hands like mine!

I had a tailor add a hook-and-button to the zipper, to make a simple bustle for the train, which helped for the reception. I had small inserts added to the sides of the bodice at the back so the dress would fit more comfortably. I think it would definitely also fit a size 10 as I am a size 8-10.
