The Dress

Absolutely beautiful Demi- couture Karen Willis Holmes gown with strapless sweetheart neckline.

Constructed in several layers, the bodice and bottom layer are made from a heavy satin twill. The bodice contains extra boning (twice as much as other KWH gowns) for extra support even for larger busts (bride is a E cup). I didn’t wear a bra with this and felt completely supported & comfortable (and I normally can’t even find strapless bras to fit)

The middle and top layers are constructed from a lightweight, sheer fabric which gives a beautiful, light, ethereal look. If you want a ball gown or princess dress without the heaviness, bulk and volume then this gown is absolutely perfect.

The gown has a lace up back which makes it suitable for size 14- 16 brides with flexibility to move a size up or down on that too with some minor alterations. Although, my sister who is a size 10- 12 tried this on and because of the lace up back it also looked great on her as is!
Can also be converted to a button up back easily with alterations. Height of bride is 164cm and I wore 10cm heels on the day. Alterations would be simple as this gown has no embellishment. If you're looking for something a bit more glitzy, then a diamante belt looks stunning with this dress too.

The bodice pattern is cut from a standard KWH pattern so if a KWH 14- 16 fits you then this will be perfect. If you have a larger bust you won't even need to wear a bra and still feel completely supported with perfect shape.

The gown has a beautiful train which creates a gorgeous dramatic silhouette when walking down the aisle. Gown includes a bustle to allow you to tie up the train so you can dance.

Dress has been professionally hand dry cleaned by Syndals bridal dry cleaners. One tiny stain remains on on of the underneath layers (not seen when dress is on) which is shown in one of the photos. It is right down the bottom so if you're less than 165cm tall and need to have the gown shortened, this will likely be removed. Stain isn't noticeable at all though.

This is a stunning dress and I had so many comments on it. I'm sad to part with it but it is so beautiful and deserves to be worn by another lucky stylish bride. If you're looking for a beautiful, classic dress that won't date (this was my brief to KWH) then this is absolutely perfect. This dress is just absolutely stunning without being over the top.
