The Dress

CUSTOM GOWN AND CAPE✨
When I said I had a vision, I had a vision. I was so methodical about every decision when it came to my dress!

I tried on so many dresses and I knew I wanted to show off my chest without being too revealing. I wanted to have a slight peekaboo gap of my waist and then really show off the silhouette of my whole body.

THE BODICE: is custom made and has beaded straps I never wore available to snap on. It has built in cups and a matching buttons down the back. The designer is a world class bridal designer out of Vancouver BC. It’s a crepe material and fit so comfortably. I was afraid to go strapless but the tailor had this perfectly on my bod. This would be for someone who is a xs/small. Size 0-2.

THE CAPE: I originally wanted a pop of fun with a puff-sleeve but I didn’t want to regret looking back on all my photos and having that on my dress. So, I made a custom cape with a designer in LA who is specifically known for capes. So after our ceremony I ditched the cape and wore it the next morning to brunch! It was perfect. It’s cathedral length and flows oh so magical. It can be separated at the armpits in case if you just want to rock the sleeves. The designer left there some space in the back so you could hug people without feeling restrained.

THE SKIRT: is a classic simple BHLDN fit and flare skirt with buttons down the back with a $400 5-point French bustle so it falls perfectly. It was PERFECT and didn’t get in the way of dancing and that was for sure.

We have dry cleaned everything, lord was I thinking it wouldn’t all come out and it sure did. There is one small mark but it’s on the inside layer of the skirt but nobody will see that.

I’ve gotten so many compliments in this one of a kind gal. I should keep it but realistically, someone needs to enjoy this as much as I did.
