The Dress
This is a size 2 (AU size 10) Rachel Gilbert Paola Gown. It is a beautiful cream coloured hand embroidered sequin gown.
The dress is what I would call a ‘wedding version of a wrap dress’ and is very flattering. The dress was bought pre-covid, and it still fit post-covid after putting on some kgs when I finally wore it in December 2021. It is comfortable to wear, you can wear a normal bra, and you won’t have to worry about eating on the day. I hope this dress can go to someone who will enjoy wearing it on their special day as much as I did!
The dress is not dry cleaned and is priced it to reflect this. The dress has been stored safely, as per the recommendations of the Rachel Gilbert staff. I am really happy to answer further questions or for you to come around to try it on (I live in the Armadale ‘bridal district’ in Melbourne!)
Alterations
The dress is a size 10, but I had it altered to fit more like a size 8 at the top (shoulders lifted) I also had the dress taken up as I am 166cm and wore 7 cm heels (The outer sequin layer lightly drapes the floor). These alterations were at the Rachel Gilbert recommended ‘Alice Haute Couture’ in South Yarra.
