The Dress

I absolutely adored this Rue de Seine dress, the battenburg lace gave it a casual boho feel so I somehow felt relaxed and dressed up at the same time. The Violet dress has a scoop neck, v-back, floral scallop capped sleeves with a subtle train (and a hustle at the back to tuck up for late night dancing). Bust 90cm Waist 70cm I am 165cm tall and wore 5cm heels The dress itself is a size 10, I am a size 8 and wore it comfortably (slightly loose, but it suited the style and I had room for dinner and ice cream). Condition - good but not perfect condition, has been dry cleaned. As pictured in the last photo some of the lace detailing has started to come undone, I have found this in two spots on the dress. Could be repaired but not something I wanted to risk myself with unskilled hands! I purchased this from StillWhite in late 2021, it was a store sample that the original owner had purchased and chosen not to wear, so although had been tried in a few times it has only been properly worn for my wedding.

Alterations

The front hem has been slightly taken up (1 - 1.5cm) by a professional seamstress, the sides and train have been left as is. Due to the battenburg lace she was able to do these alterations and tuck the leftover string into the hem rather than cut it off, which she did so that it could be let back out if anyone wanted. It has left the hem a little messy, I.e in some spots the lace string is poking out. Only noticeable if you look really close, did not notice at all on the day or in photos so I left it. If you were happy with length could trim them off.
