The Dress

Mariana Hardwick describes this dress as "Strapless ballgown with finely draped bodice, scooped neckline, and layered petal skirt with split. made from Haven Satin Twill".
However, I would describe this dress as the most incredible, comfortable and effortlessly chic dress i have ever worn - sad to see it go, but alas i budgeted for this dress by telling myself I would sell it...

The Rose gown is classic Mariana, the dress is white (sorry if some of the photos look ivory - it is absolutely white), silky, hugs your chest and moves effortlessly - not to mention she gives a little bit of sass with the split leg! Currently Mariana Hardwick have a 10month lead time required for their dresses, their dresses are made beautifully and with the most incredible care.

Here are some of the finer details:
Because i am based in Perth and MH is in Melbourne the dress was made as close to to my measurements as possible remotely and then further altered through a reputable MH endorsed atelier specialist in Perth (because of COVID and WA borders i couldn't go and use made to measure service that all other gowns purchased through MH have, so i had to do this remotely in Perth). Other than that the dress has bustling tags added (that can easily be removed)

Final altered measurements are: 88cm bust, 73cm under bust and 113cm from the front of the waist to the floor (with heels). There is some wiggle room still in the bust, i am about a 10D/E and there was still some space. The dress is pretty firm through the chest (and needs to be to hold it all up), however it has an adjustable strap inside which can be let out for more breathing space in the chest.

This dress was dry cleaned immediately after and has come up looking flawless.
