The Dress

This is an ethereal, modern, and celestial gown in a subtle blush-to-ivory color. I received more compliments on this dress than any other aspect of the wedding (date April 2022)! It has a low back, v-neck front, and sequins and beading on the bodice down to the top of the skirt. It has a base layer of subtle glittery tulle underneath the outer flowy tulle, which adds a hint of sparkle. It has the added benefit of being cool and comfortable; I ate a full meal and wore no bra and you never could have known. It has 21 reviews on BHLDN and an average of 4.9 stars.

I wanted a pre-owned dress badly when I was looking for a gown, but couldn't find this gown in my size without rips or tears. I hope that it will make you as happy as it made me on my wedding day.

There are no rips or tears on this gown. There are a some loose strings on the beading; these are only noticeable to me up close. For full transparency, I have also included images of the bottom of the gown because there is some faint greying from the ground on the lining and the outer tulle. I think the greying on the lining is not visible when you are wearing the gown, but if the greying on the outer tulle bothers you, you can cut it off.

Alterations

The tailor on this dress has years of experience on pageant/evening gowns and wedding dresses. The biggest alteration on this dress was to remove the train to avoid bustling, but it still grazes the ground and has extra length in the back to simulate the train. I am between 5' 6" and 5' 7" and wore a 2.75" heel, and the front grazed the ground with the back flowing behind on the ground. It was taken slightly it at the side panels, at the base of the deep v to make it less plunge-y, and slightly in the front at the chest and top of the straps. There is also a non-beaded section that comes down the front of the v-neck, and we thought it was too large, so she tucked part of it under. She re-sewed the sequins and beading wherever she made alterations.
