The Dress

This is a beautiful custom made dress by designer Susan Ogg in Brisbane. It was my absolute dream dress and I hope someone else gets to love wearing it as much as I did!

It has a sweetheart neckline bodice with off the shoulder long sleeves and a low back (which I found rare/difficult to find!) I am a B-cup, the bodice has padding inserts to increase cleavage which can easily be removed.

The skirt is slightly fitted at the buttocks and at the knee area to flatter the figure. The train is mid length and has a hand loop underneath to hold it up, plus it can be bustled with a tie under the skirt. I found it really great to have both of these options to hold up the train. I am approximately 175cm tall and wore 6.5cm heels.

The material is a stunning lightly beaded embroidered tulle, over another tulle layer, over a layer of seashell silk organza and a satin base.
Sleeves are Italian tulle with pieces of lace appliquéd. The second tulle layer gives the dress a subtle pinky/nude undertone- best shown in the final two photos. The lightly beaded tulle gives a beautiful subtle sparkle.

I was concerned that my movement would be restricted from the sleeves but on the day it was actually so comfortable and I kept it on the entire night and performed my wedding dance in it!! As such, I had way too much fun in it and let the train go as I danced the night away. This resulted in heavy staining to the train and around the hem.
It has been specially dry cleaned by Leon's Fine Dry Cleaning in Brisbane and they have done an amazing job at removing this staining. There is a subtle darkness of the hem in some lights and at some angles, but I would say it is barely noticeable. Happy to send as many photos of this as requested!

Alterations

This dress was custom fitted for myself, and as such I would think that it is likely to need alterations of some kind to fit someone else perfectly. This would be easiest for a size 6-8.
I am normally a size 8 both top and bottom. I have fairly thin arms so the long sleeves will only fit a slim arm. The circumference of my upper arm is approximately 26cm. However, the sleeves would be easy to have removed and I have a bag of extra embroidered tulle pieces that could be used to make new sleeves.
I live 6km from the Brisbane CBD and would be happy for try-ons.
