The Dress

DESIGNER DESCRIPTION:
Danielle Frankel's 'Leona' gown is made from figure-skimming with draped high tulle overlay, giving it beautiful texture and dimension. It has a cold-shoulder, squared neckline with long sleeves lightly bound underneath with narrow satin ribbon straps. Center back external zipper, and a soft internal bustier with grosgrain waistband belt and three hook positions for support. The train trains elegantly behind as you walk.

MY NOTES:
-- Size 4, made to order this year for our wedding in August.
-- Professionally dry-cleaned ($500 value) after wedding, just got it back.
-- Purchase comes with original Danielle Frankel cloth garment bag and hanger.
-- It's in beautiful condition, only worn for ceremony and dinner of our wedding, as I changed into another dress for the reception. I was careful to preserve this dress, as I intended to sell it to someone who adores this dress as much as I did! There are shockingly no runs/snags in the tulle overlay even at the bottom. There are very minor stains (reference video) at the very bottom couple inches of the back side (train) underlayer of the dress from being on a lawn for our ceremony.
-- The sleeves were very comfortable to wear and I didn't feel restricted in my arm movement compared to other long-sleeve gowns I tried (a must for me), and I loved the internal bustier for support, which allowed me to not need any bra or shapewear.
-- Price takes into account the dry cleaning, great condition of the dress, the $400 for high-quality alterations + $600 in sales tax for the dress on top of the $5990 retail price.

SIZING:
-- Size 4 Designer measurements: 34.5" Bust / 27" Waist /37.5" Hip
-- No alterations were made to the body of the gown at all, please see alterations note for the other alterations (length, strap, bustle)

Alterations

Designer measurements for size 4: 34.5" Bust / 27" Waist /37.5" Hip

No alterations were made to the body fit of the gown at all. 3 small other alterations:

1. Length of train in the back was not altered, but length of front of dress was shortened to ground-skimming length with my heels on (I was 5'5" with my heels)

2. Sleeve length was shortened just shy of 1.5 inches

3. Straps were shortened 1/2"

Bonus: 2 small hidden loop + button bustle points were added (1 for each layer of the dress, as they needed to be bustled separately to preserve the delicate tulle): the underneath cady/silk layer bustles underneath the butt, the tulle layer bustles to the button on the low back above the tailbone -- creating a beautiful cascading effect. Bustles can also be easily removed, if preferred.
