The Dress

Stunning couture gown by Steven Khalil worn for our beautiful spring wedding in the enchanting Yarra Valley region of Victoria.

This A-Line floor length gown has a sweetheart neckline and sheer mesh sleeves and bodice adorned with Italian lace applique and delicate beading. The skirt has several layers of organza and tulle, with a crinoline base for extra fullness, and features two types of lace - French Chantilly lace underneath and an overlay of Italian lace, pearls, sequins and beading from top to bottom which will capture the light beautifully. The show stopping long train, which can be bustled once you are ready to hit the dance floor, has a feminine scalloped lace hem and creates an elegant princess look that is guaranteed to impress.

Steven's love of classic, romantic gowns, his attention to detail and understanding of the female shape enabled me to bring my vision to life. The feeling that I had wearing my dress will stay with me forever, and I genuinely hope you enjoy wearing it as much as I did.

I am a size 14 -16, 172 cms tall and wore 7.5 cms heels.

The dress measurements are approximately as follows:

Sleeve: from top of shoulder to bottom of sleeve is 63cms.

Front length of dress: from top of shoulder to bottom of dress is 160cms.

Train: from top of zip at back to bottom of train is 265cms.

Waist: diameter from side to side of waist (not circumference) is 43cms. From the dip of the sweetheart neckline to the top of the waist is 24cms.

Veil: from the top of the hair clip to the bottom of the long end of the veil (i.e. goes at the back of you and sits out over train) is 320cms. From the top of the hair clip to the short side of the veil (i.e. sits to the side of your shoulders) is 100cms.

A custom made Steven Khalil tulle veil with Italian lace and beading applique and custom made headpiece using flowers from the Italian lace of my gown by Australian designer Kezani Jewellery are also included.

The gown has been dry cleaned by wedding gown specialist dry cleaners, Syndal's Bridal Dry Cleaners, and is in excellent condition, with the exception of the button for the bustle which has fallen off and will need to be replaced if you wish to bustle the train.
