About the Dress

Selling my much loved Hera Couture Hali wedding gown! Worn in November 2024 and was dry cleaned a couple of weeks later. Whilst I loved this dress and absolutely loved my wedding, I hope it can give someone else just as much joy as it gave me.

This gown is crushed satin and the satin was super flattering on my body (and also super easy to wear underwear underneath, which was a bonus). I am a size 10 and find I have larger shoulders but otherwise am a pretty standard size 10. Whilst the dress is on the heavier-side, I was still able run around for photos and dance all night with no issues. The halter neck meant that this dress was super easy to dance in and run around all day/night without any issues of readjusting. The best part of this dress is the silken ties that hang at the back - they are insanely flattering and were super easy to just float or tie up as you wish. This dress comes with a wrist loop not a bustle. I found it super easy to loop in and out of during the night and for the first dance.

The dress has been dry cleaned but there are a couple of marks and very light stains remaining. Most of the marks are very light and are underneath the dress or on the very edges. If you had a talented dry cleaner, I reckon you could get the marks out. If you were going to shorten the dress, likely all the marks would be removed in the alterations. All buttons, clips and zips are still attached and in good condition. I still have the pack of extra fabric and pearl buttons. The dress is otherwise in impeccable condition and ready to go!

Alterations

The gown has been altered to fit my body but the halter neck and low back means this dress can fit a whole range of body types pretty easily!

I had the dress altered so that it now just brushes the floor (at 171 cms). The satin ties that hang at the back were also altered to be the length of the train. The neck was altered and brought in a few centimetres (it comes super loose when you order the dress). The sides of the dress along the bust have also been brought in a couple of centimetres (again, comes super loose when you order the dress originally). Plenty of material to still bring the dress in on the sides, or in at the neck, or to make it shorter.
