The Dress

Berta has taken the world by storm with her incredible avant-garde style, stunning silhouettes and couture design masterpieces. Her gowns set themselves apart from anything else.

This intricately beaded, romantic antique lace gown has a timeless elegance and sophistication about it. It is from the current 2016 S/S season design style 16-12.

Label size is EUR 38 equivalent to a size AUS 8 (US 4) although depending on your measurements could fit sizes from AUS 6 -8. My measurements - Bust: 32.5” Waist: 25” Hips: 35”. My cup size is 32C. The gown length was cut wearing heels to my total height of 6'.

It has an illusion neckline with sheer nude fabric over a deep v cut, open back with neck hook closure, lower back middle zip, fit and flare figure-hugging design which just moulds to your body and a breathtakingly fabulous sweeping train. It has exquisite fine hand detailing with pearl and crystal beading all over the gown. The shoulder framing has an effortless grace about it. Cups have been sewn into the dress for added support which can be adjusted or changed if needed. Small concealed transparent buttons have been attached for an over bustle. Additionally the option to under bustle has been allowed for. Stunning beaded waist belt included.

I am 5’ 7.5” without shoes. I wore heels that were 4.25” high. The dress has been cut to length wearing these shoes just touching the floor to my total height of 6'. The sheer nude illusion sheath was taken in fractionally by 1cm to allow it to sit more flush against the décolletage. NO OTHER ALTERATIONS.

I am the original owner of the dress and it has been preserved in pristine condition. The 16-12 gown retails for AUD$14499. I would love for someone else to experience the feeling that comes with wearing a Berta gown on their day so I am slashing over $6400 off the price!!

I have copies of the original receipt and the Berta gown protection travel bag it arrived in. It was purchased from the only partner boutique in Melbourne which stocks the label. It has been professionally dry-cleaned by hand with the certificate included.

Please know your size and measurements in this designer. I strongly recommend going in to a boutique, trying on a sample size and getting measured. No returns accepted.
