The Dress

This stunning number looks like a dream on! I personally think it looks better on a woman with curves than on a 'model' figure. There is just something about they way it sits in all the right places that just WORKS, and I'm sure your husband-to-be will agree!

Glorious Ivory with a tulle and subtle Peacock patterned lace overlay, a long train that can hook up for the dance floor and sheer back and shoulder straps that give a hint of skin without leaving you with that overexposed feeling. No unfortunate 'hitching up' required either, like we can sometimes feel with a strapless number (even though it's not necessary with a well fitted dress but every bride I've seen in a strapless dress still does it!).

This gown was dry cleaned after the wedding and has no marks or flaws. It didn't need a dry clean to be honest but it was originally supposed to be boxed up for storage and for some reason I thought that was just what you did! It was purchased brand new from Belladonna Bridal in July 2015 and has been hanging up, in a dust cover and not touching the floor ever since.

We are moving overseas so rather than hide it away in my parents garage, why not make it yours and may it bring you all the luck, love and happiness it has brought me!

The dress was altered to fit me by the team at Belladonna Bridal. My measurements were:
Bust - 44 inches
Waist - 36.5 inches
Hips - 47.5 inches
Apparently this is in between a size 18 and 20 (hence they ordered size 20 and took it in where necessary) but you know how dress sizing works... The 'normal' clothes I was wearing at the time were a mix of size 16 and 18.
