Recently reduced!!! I wore this Christos dupioni silk gown for my Charleston wedding in 1993. It was elegant, timeless, and incredibly well made — the kind of dress that feels as beautiful today as it did then. I’ve preserved it carefully in an acid-free box, hoping it will bring the same joy to another bride.
Beautifully hand-finished Christos dupioni silk gown (1993) — a classic example of bridal craftsmanship you rarely find today. The A-line silhouette and boat neckline flatter all figures, while the soft puff sleeves and delicate embroidery on the bodice, hem, and veil create a romantic, ethereal look.
The 100% silk dupioni fabric has a luminous texture and gentle structure, perfect for a minimalist or vintage-loving bride who appreciates understated luxury.
This gown was professionally cleaned and preserved in an acid-free box and remains in beautiful vintage condition.
Condition
As with many true vintage gowns, there are a few gentle reminders of its age — a small faint mark on the right sleeve and a pinpoint cluster of tiny spots on the left side of the train, both very subtle and not noticeable when worn.
Alterations
Shortened slightly and taken in at the waist to match measurements (see below).
