Hi future brides!

I am selling my beautiful after party wedding dress by Cult Gaia in a size M. This dress was worn once for my special day (for a total of 3.5 hours) on December 23 2025 and has been professionally dry-cleaned and is in excellent like-new condition. I’d hate to see this gorgeous gown sit in a box and love for it to bring joy to someone else’s wedding or event.

I fell in love with this dress as soon as I saw a picture of it online. I got it as a second dress (party dress) for my wedding kind of last minute since I wasn’t planning on changing but I simply couldn’t stop thinking about it and pulled the trigger. I’m so glad I did, changing into it was one of my favorite moments that day. I felt like a goddess dancing in it!

Details:
-Crocheted pearls on nylon threads

Sizing:
-Size M (Original Cult Gaia sizing - you can find their sizing chart online)
-NOTE: Cult Gaia dresses tend to be a tad on the narrower side especially if they are non stretch material
-I had the mid back strap removed (it was discarded leaving only the two shoulder straps)
-I had the two shoulder straps altered (moved a little further down so the dress wouldn’t gap at the sides under arms)
-I added bust cups (to avoid see through nipples)
-Two additional eye closures were added to the 5 original ones that came with dress (lower back) to get rid of small gap
-All this can be undone easily - the shoulder straps can be altered to whatever position buyer needs, the cups can be removed or replaced, the eye closures can be removed, and a back strap can be added back - but buyer’s tailor would have to use new material for it (create a very simple thin back strap)

Fit and Feel:
-This dress has no give (no stretch) and no lining
-I wore it with shape wear (nude biker shorts) instead of underwear (again to avoid see through) and it worked well
-It was a bit snug at the hips on me (I tend to have this issue) but overall looked great
-Dress weighs about 7.4 pounds - feels heavy when carrying the dress but it doesn’t feel too heavy when you wear it

Not that you asked - but in case this helps at all - I’ll share my honest review and recommendations from what I learned the hard way:

HONEST REVIEW:
-Dress is stunning and so fun to dance in - moves beautifully
-It weighs 7.4 pounds - it didn’t feel heavy to me while I was dancing in it but it is heavy to carry and I think its too heavy to hang off its shoulder straps for prolonged amounts of time - I have it in garment bag laid out flat in my closet so shoulder straps don’t get stretched out
-It is ivory/off white but the pearls have a bit of a gold or yellowish shine (warm undertone)
-Uncomfortable to sit in due to beads - definitely not meant to be worn to a sit down dinner or any kind of event that involves staying seated for long
-Be aware that the dress isn’t lined - its a bit see through - you can clearly see underwear/boob pasties or nipple covers through the beading — best solution was to get shape wear (shorts) and bust cups
-Dress is rigid and does not have any stretch at all - if you’re on the curvier side and have a full chest or wide hips or a thick booty/thighs then best to go up in size
-It’s hard to put on/take off on your own if its very fitted to your body
-Beads are tricky and delicate - but shape wear (nude biker shorts) makes it easier to roll dress up and down (beads slide easier on fabric vs your bare skin)

Recommendations:
-This dress is not meant to fit snug around your body - its meant to fit somewhat straight (like seen on the model on Cult Gaia's website) and if I could go back - I would definitely size up to an L for my hips and thighs
-Also this dress isn't meant to be floor length - the fringe isn't supposed to drag on floor or reach your feet - if it does - I suggest hemming the fringe up to your ankles otherwise you or others around you can easily step on it and break off pearl threads
-If you’re curvy or stuck between sizes, always better to go up one size - I can confirm that this specific dress is narrow and does not stretch at all - best to not cut it too close
-Remember to take into account your measurements vs the seller’s + any alterations they had done
-Aside from straps and fringe length, this dress can't really be altered due to its construction (its all just crotched pearls on nylon strings)
-Make sure that you consider all the movement you’d be doing in the dress on the day of (walking, sitting, dancing, perhaps also kneeling or carrying children or being carried yourself) and that you feel good moving like that in the dress (learned this the hard way)
