The Dress

I felt like a princess from a fairytale when I stepped into this custom Anna Campbell gown on my wedding day. The price of the dress ended up being FOUR times by budget but once I tried it on at the Anna Campbell Boutique, I knew I HAD to wear this dress. The way it sparkles in the light is breathtaking and I received so many compliments! My fiance was in tears when he saw me coming down the aisle and yours will be too! :)

SIZE: This dress was custom made and would fit a 6-8. It ties at the waist so would fit most body types. It has a B bra cup size but I was an A myself at the wedding, I just wore a sticky bra and hollywood tape for some extra padding. So I believe it would fit A-C bust.

CONDITION: It looks to be in perfect condition but does have a few missing beads thanks to an unfortunate dry cleaning job. There is some slight discolouration to the silk underskirt also due to the drycleaners. I can provide photos of everything to the buyer so you know what you're getting. Honestly if I didn't have a newborn baby I would have the dress repaired myself and sell it for more than this listing price. I just want a quick sale because it's sitting in my wardrobe now and it could be another bride's dream dress! I had it sold for $3500 recently and the buyer discovered the slight discolouration to the silk (I hadn't even noticed it because it was underneath the floaty tulle layer).

A seamstress quoted me $100 to repair the beads and I haven't had a quote on redyeing the silk as I was in the process of doing all of this when I found out I was having a baby.

WHY BUY? I want a bride who could not normally afford the price of an Anna Campbell gown to walk away with their dream wedding dress. If you're handy with a needle and thread then you could easily do the repairs yourself in an afternoon. The discoloured silk is barely noticeable so could be left as is.

The main damage to the beads is the missing crystals on the very tips of the dress (shoulders) that can be replaced by inserting a new crystal into the clasp and tightening it. You can see it in the video.

The same can be said about the back, it was mainly the crystals that must have been dislodged during the dry cleaning process.

It’s just the underlay that has the discolouring, it is quite hard to see in real life which is why I filmed the video in front of a bright window. I tried to show it as best I could. I took it to a different dry cleaner on the Gold Coast before I left who thought it may be just water stains that will wash out. I didn’t try to have it dry cleaned again because I was worried about the beads.
