The Dress

The Story

George Wu is an incredible Brisbane designer. An absolutely perfectionist when it comes to his craftsmanship. I couldn't find anything like this design pre made. Although I was hesitant to go down the custom made path it was absolutely worth it; it's one of a kind!

The dress is made with French lace which was hand appliquéd onto the tulle bodice. The top sits just under your collar bone giving you a beautiful neck line, the white tulle straps float over your shoulders and are which are met with more hand appliquéd lace. The lace winds down over the hips and ends at knee length which gives the bottom of the dress a subtle flare. The dress has a separate skirt which is A line so you can see the silhouette with lace detailing underneath. The skirt has a longer train then the dress which adds an extra ethereal element. Also comes with the custom made bodice that sits under the dress to hold your body in shape for the perfect line. 16 fittings went into the creation of this one off piece, I hope that someone can get the same enjoyment from this creation without having to pay the designer price tag.

2) Invisible corset (to be worn under the dress) however dress can be worn without this depending on your size

3) Sheer Aline Skirt Overlay

4) Dry cleaning after you decide to the buy the dress to ensure you are the last person to try it on

This was a custom made dress, however I am usually a size 8 and I am 175cms tall. I wore 10 cm heels on the day. Bust would fit either an A or B cup (Potentially c if the corset wasn't used).

Three tiny holes at the bottom of the dress (from heels), these are extremely small and you cannot notice without careful examination. If serious about the dress I can send you photos.
