The Dress

This dress was based on an Oscar dress worn by a well known actress Jennifer Garner. See: https://au.pinterest.com/pin/155866837073667535/ I absolutely loved the style as I wanted something special and non-fussy. Penny at Mark Holt Bridal in Double Bay, Sydney was fantastic to work with as she knew all about skin tones and colouring, style and what would work for my body shape. I'm slightly curvy and the bodice certainly tucked me in! It has a beautiful split to the thigh and the material has like a curvy trim which is hard to explain but when you walk it flows in and out beautifully. The back has pearl and loop beading. The dress is an 8-10 in size. I'm about 168cm tall and had low heels on when I wore this dress. Even if you have high heels, it's long enough to come up near to the ankles. The dress was professional dry cleaned straight after the wedding. It has remained in the box since and I only took it out a few weeks ago to check it was still okay. It doesn't fit me anymore (sigh!) and it's time to go to someone who would like a couture dress at a more affordable price. The design is still contemporary and doesn't stand out as being from a particular decade. I'm happy to answer any queries regarding the dress.
