The Dress
This dress is incredibly comfortable and easy to wear. It is light-weight and can be worn with a regular bra. With a kitten heel, the length fell right to the floor and hardly needed to be lifted at all to walk, dance, etc. The lace detail around the neckline and back V is even more delicate and beautiful than the pictures relay. This is the perfect example of a dress that is more on the simple side, yet still full of subtle impact.
The main alteration made to the original was shortening the length. The original bottom trim was removed and hand sewn back on after it was shortened. Loops were sewn inside the back below the V to pull the bra strap down and keep it from showing. It has been professionally cleaned, but the boutique suggested regular cleaning as opposed to dry cleaning. There were no stains and it shows no sign of wear. The cleaners actually commented on how remarkable it turned out.
