The Dress

This was my dream dress. Sophia Tolli is an extremely talented designer who really understands women’s bodies. The corseted back, the pleated/ruched detailing, and the sweatheart neckline all are there to flatter the figure. The subtle bling accents and the brocade floral print of the overlayer offer an understated elegance that seems to be vintage-inspired. I felt like a holywood starlet!

After trying on more than 30 dresses, this was the one. The dress cost me $1395 and I spent $350 on alterations including a french bustle and bra cups.

This dress is a label size 2 because the women in the bridal salon talked me up a size. It has been taken in so it's closer to a zero. I am a street size 0, with measurements 32-26-35 and the corset back was about halfway done up (see third photo) - so there's definitely room for a smaller or larger size to fit. The third picture is of me wearing it so you can see how far done up on the back it was. It's hemmed to fit the height of 5'6, though I think it would fit 5'7 as well since I noticed it was a little long. I am 5'0 and wore 6" heels. It has had bra cups added for extra 'va-va-voom' in the bust, and a french bustle (3 part bustle).

You can absolutely have it let out or taken in more, should fit anyone with street sizing 0-4.
