The Dress

An exquisite lace gown with elbow length sleeves, handmade by a local Victorian dressmaker Kylie Easton.
We designed the dress together, as I was searching for a dress with lace sleeves without much success.
Made of French leavers lace, with a soft under layer of oyster toned silk, the sheer boat shaped neckline with individually placed lace pieces, hovers over a firm fitting bodice to show off a sweetheart line over the bust.
The sleeves come down to elbow length, and the see-through tulle/lace panels continue around the back of the dress creating a sheer layer from the nape of the neck to where the silk bodice comes in to create a low backline. An invisible zip, covered by small buttons closes the dress. The dress fits firmly over the hips and falls in a natural A-Line.
A small train makes this dress practical for outdoor weddings, there is a concealed button at the back to hook the train up if required.

I wear a size 6-8 in most clothes.
Measurements with the dress laid flat are as follows:

Waist (smallest part): 30.5 cm
Widest part of hips: 39.5 cm
Bust: 35 cm (I wear a B cup, and did not wear a bra under this dress as it is shaped and lined)
Front length from waist to hem: 107.5 cm
Back length from waist to hem: 126 cm

This dress has been dry cleaned but there are a few small marks on the underside of the silk lining near the hem, they are not visible looking at the outside of the dress, and barely visible if you turn the lining to have a look.
One button at the back is missing - I have off-cuts of silk and lace from the dress making process that are included in the sale so you have a perfect match to make a new button.
