The Dress

Elegant, classic and simple. I felt like a million dollars in this Jack Sullivan gown. The beauty is in its shape and the meters of crisp ivory fabric, with just a touch of lace detail. The straps are designed to sit right on the edge of the shoulders to expose collar bones and create a deep V at both the front and the back. Simple sunflower shaped lace is featured down the front of the gown to meet inverted box pleats, and there are fabric covered buttons at the back (over a zip and clasp). I wore a full petty coat underneath to accentuate the size of the skirt and make it more of a ball gown shape, although the dress is a-line. I found there was plenty of fabric to make this work, so you've got that option. I am 168cm tall and wore 14cms high heels - the length was perfect!

The hem was NOT taken up as I wore very high shoes. I only had the side seams (under the arms) sinched in 1/2 an inch. Due to boning in the dress, I did not wear a bra. I just used padded inserts which stuck to the inside of the dress to give shape.
