The Dress

This dress was my dream come true, I wish I could keep it forever but alas! I no longer have space to store it.

It is an elegant dress and it styles well in both very formal and relaxed settings such as our country wedding. The versatility of this dress is a big part of its appeal.

So, what makes this particular dress so incredible?

- The colour is called "Tea Rose". It is an ivory/pewter colour with a VERY subtle soft pink undertone in the skirt. Absolutely stunning.

- It features beautiful crystal hand-beading over the bodice which fades softly down the skirt, giving it just enough bling without going over the top.

- The sash which wraps around the midriff from the back of the corset creates a stunning silhouette. Trust me, as a size 18 my waist looked tiny in this dress and gave me an added confidence boost on our big day!

- The corset! This thing will suck you in but don't be fooled- I was comfortable all day long. It contains boning and comes with both thick and thin laces so you can choose which lacing look you'd like at the back of the corset.

- This dress is strapless but because of the corset it will stay in place and you won't be seen trying to yank it back up every 10 seconds (not a good look). The sweetheart neckline is incredibly flattering. I am not well endowed so removable cups were added and I also wore stick-on silicone cups for an extra boost. There is an option to sew on straps, I will send the straps with the dress and a seamstress could pop them on for you if you wish.

- This dress can be paired with a bolero (as seen in my images) for cooler days or to cover your arms if you feel so inclined. The bolero I wore was sheer ivory.

As mentioned above, removable cups were added. I wore 7cm heels down the aisle and flats at the reception. This dress is a 22 however it was taken in to fit me at a size 18 (bridal dress sizing it crazy!). If you'd like my measurements, flick me a PM!

There is a teeny weeny tear in one of the layers of tulle. Barely noticeable, you'd have to really look for it to notice.

I absolutely felt like a million dollars in this dress and my friends and family commented on how beautiful it was. It sets the scene for some epic photos as well! My videographer was loving it.

There are very few occasions in life where you can go all out and wear a dress like this and I am so happy I chose this dress for our day, now I'm hoping the happy memories I shared in this dress can be passed on to someone special to create their own happy memories in.
