The Dress

Purchased for our wedding in fall 2022 and worn just that one day.

Dress description: the top has an illusion bodice with a neckline bordering a V and a sweetheart since the V is not so deep. The beaded spaghetti straps serve mostly as a decorative feature since the dress is predominantly held up by the bodice and zipped-up back. The top is slightly mesh and I paired the beaded lace appliques with a pearl lined veil (which I am also happy to include with this dress purchase). The asymmetrically ruffled skirt was what I was most looking for in a wedding dress and is made with organza with a horsehair hem and a chapel train.

The dress has been stored in a garment bag in a smoke-free home since.

Alterations

Slight alterations have been made to the following: straps, bust and hem. The major alteration work was for the bustle - it is a 9-way tying bustle and incredibly inconspicuous (see the last photo) and was absolutely thrilled with how it turned out. You can also leave the dress not bustled and you won't be able to tell. Alterations alone were half the original dress cost, with the majority of fees due to the elaborate bustle.
