The Dress

This beautiful dress felt fantastic from the moment I put it on!

It's a Stephanie Allin, Frankie. I'm also including the separate matching shrug (was £150 new) as part of the price. As you'll see from the pictures, this dress is fantastic if you fancy changing things up through your big day, but don't want to invest in a second dress! In the evening I took off the shrug and tied up the short train under the dress (there are ties to allow you to do this), and changed the belt - it looked like a totally new dress and was lovely to dance in!

The dress has a definite '50's vibe, with a higher hem at the front (to show off your wedding shoes!) and a short train at the back that makes it feel special to wear but not difficult to walk in. I chose a wide belt (not included) which really highlights a slim waist. The bodice is beautifully embroidered, with a button and loop back. And the ultimate feature? It has pockets!!! :)

The dress was professionally dry cleaned straight after the wedding and has been stored safely in tissue paper since then. It has some dust marks along the hem as you'd expect (these could be removed if you wanted if the dress was re-hemmed), plus a small mark on the back (see photo). This is hidden because it's inside a pleat, but I wanted to make sure everything was visible in the listing. There is also a tiny mark inside the bodice, but nobody will ever see that!

The only adjustment was to the button placement on the back - this could easily be undone by moving the buttons again. It's actually a useful feature that there's a big wide panel for the button placement so fitting is straightforward if you need to take the bodice in or out.

I'm selling because frankly, this dress is too gorgeous to be kept in a box! It deserves to make someone else's big day too.
