The Dress

For the modern romantic 💕

The dress was worn for a small intimate ceremony of 4 hours on a lovely sunny day so there is no water damage or stains. On the day the dress was extremely comfortable and surprisingly the tulle layers were a lot more durable than I imagined thus I cannot see any tears, snags, holes etc.

*** The measurements listed above are my own which the dress was made to fit. I am 162cm tall and wore 9cm heels on the day however did think it could be taken up more, I also tried on 11cm heels and it was quite long so without time to get it further shortened I just lifted it slightly as I walked. The train measures 177cm from hip to the longest part!

*****The price is heavily reduced as the dress has not been dry cleaned and I don’t really have capacity to have it done after months of wedding planning I am hoping for a quick sale with no where to store it at home. Also please note on the day when the photographer arrives I was very stressed and couldn’t get the coat hangers strap/tag things unwrapped from the hanger so I cut them. However I do still have them if you wanted to sew back on to get that photo of the dress hanging, the main Kyha tag inside is still there and it comes on a Kyha dress bag!

I felt like an absolute princess in this, but in a “Cinderella went to the Golden Globes” way, but also seductive with the corset style upper that twists across. I instantly fell in love with this dress as it was so unique and there was nothing else like it!

KYHA gowns have become understandably popular however the downside of this is that so many people wear the most popular ones and everyone wants to feel special on their wedding day. I searched high and low on tagged Insta photos and found only one other person wearing this unique dress.

Alterations

Was a standard KYHA size 4 however I had it altered to be taken in at waist/bust to create a more refined hourglass shape, also hemmed and a wrist strap added which was $1200 at Sew Right the recommended alteration by Kyha (can provide receipt).

***Kyha size 4 online says the hip size is 99cm-103cm and there was no alterations there and anything below the hip bone doesn’t matter as it’s A line! However, there is horizontal boning across top off upper section to provide structure and bottom of upper section before it flows down. The bottom boning with my height means it sits just above or kind of on the hip bone, across that area I measure at 90cm!
