The Dress

I have only tried this dress on in the bridal shop. Hence only pics of me trying it on so I’ve included some from the Catherine Deane website. It had not been tried on much at all due to covid when I bought it back in sept 2020.

I bought it off the peg with the view to getting it altered as it’s a size 14 so is a little big on me as I’m a 10-12 on the high street. It’s in excellent condition.

I had tried on a few dresses before trying this and while they were all beautiful dresses they weren’t 💯 me. I wanted it to be beautifully detailed and to feel elegant but I had to be comfortable. The minute I put this dress on I knew it was the dress for me. It was so soft and didn’t dig in anywhere it was like the pyjamas of wedding dresses! The detail is amazing and it’s so lightweight. I really loved it.

Due to the uncertainty of covid we cancelled our bigger celebration that we had planned for this year and did something low key and I wore a bridal jumpsuit for that. I’m also pregnant with our second child and so priorities have changed for us and we’ve decided money will be better spent elsewhere and that I will sell my dress and bridesmaids dresses.

This dress needs to be worn! I can’t justify keeping hold of it knowing it may never get worn that would be criminal.
